DESIGN COMPETENCY EXAMINATION
The Design Competency Exam (DCE) of NACDeC-IX will be conducted on Saturday 17 Jan 2026 from 18:00 to 21:00.
Here are some important instructions related to the DCE.
* The team leaders will receive the question paper (DCE-QP) as a PDF attachment from <nacdec.dce@gmail.com> by 17:55
* The DCE-QP may also be shared on the WhatsApp group, if any team faces an issue with e-mail.
* The DCE-QP is strictly to be shared only among your own team members, and not with anyone else.
* Please don't attempt to use any AI tools while solving the DCE-QP; doing so will lead to the disqualification of your Team.
* The DCE-QP answer sheet should only be a PDF file, and it could be either typed or a scan of neat handwriting, but only one single document.
* The answer sheet should be named "Team XXXX_DCE_2026.pdf", where XXXX is the team name.
* If you have any doubts/clarifications during the conduct of DCE, please share them via the official NACDec-IX Whatsapp group for quick response.
* Contacting any NACDeC-IX organizing committee member or volunteer personally regarding DCE is explicitly prohibited, and will result in immediate disqualification.

About NACDeC
The National Aerospace Conceptual Design Competition (NACDeC) is an annual student competition organized by the Design Division of The Aeronautical Society of India, in collaboration with its Mumbai Branch. Initiated in 2017, NACDeC provides a platform for engineering students across the country to showcase innovative and conceptual aerospace design solutions. The competition encourages original thinking and the application of engineering principles to real-world aerospace challenges.
NACDeC is specifically designed for:
Undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students from across India.
Students with an interest in aerospace engineering, aeronautical design, and multidisciplinary problem-solving.
Teams who are passionate about applying their academic knowledge to conceptualize and design aerospace systems or components.
